Dewitts Corners area is where a particular occurrence delivers complex Spinel crystals, often partially pseudomorphed by Corundum. A novel mineral species (Magnesiohogbomite-6N12S) has been recently discovered by Dr. Inna Lykova and colleagues at the occurrence.
