Why I Joined the club

I love the “Eureka” experience of discovering minerals

Nothing compares to the thrill of exploring the great outdoors, unearthing minerals that have been hidden for over a billion years at some remote site.

From Bancroft, Ontario to Mont Tremblant, Quebec, there are well over 200 abandoned mines and mineral collecting sites. Although many are closed to the public, treasures still await discovery.

Sure, the bugs can be bothersome, and the heat or rain might require patience, but every bit of effort is rewarded when you uncover fascinating minerals for your collection. Once cleaned and researched, these finds can be proudly displayed for others to admire.
