Speaker: George Thompson, Well-known Mineral Collector and Vendor

Topic: Mineral Cleaning Demystified: Practical Tips to Maximize Mineral Beauty

George is a long time field collector of minerals and has one of the best Canadian mineral collections out there. He sells specimens at many of the local shows under the banner True North Minerals and is actively mining a site near Bancroft as well as making trips to many sites in Nova Scotia.

George will share “Best Practices” for cleaning your mineral discoveries including washing and removing stains while not damaging the specimen. This will be followed by tips to get the most out of displaying your minerals.
